STEM training

A range of affordable learning opportunities

Historically STEM training has been delivered face-to-face and usually on a client site as part of an initial licence deployment. These training services, which are widely regarded as the best way to get started with STEM, are still offered by Implied Logic and its delivery partners. However, as we adapt to the different needs of a new generation of ‘self-service’ visitors and customers, we now offer a range of affordable learning opportunities, from regular online demonstrations (free) and public training sessions to exclusive coaching on-demand and conventional on-site training.

Online demonstration pre-scheduled for one hour (free)

Watch an expert walk through all the steps to create a model from scratch and quickly unlock a wealth of valuable business results.

Exclusive online training / coaching for two hours on-demand

Our expert practitioner will help you understand advanced STEM features and solve your specific challenges in confidence subject to available time.

Online public training pre-scheduled for one hour

Our experienced trainer will show you how to work with STEM to create your first models, addressing pre-submitted questions subject to available time.

Face-to-face training for two days

Join our experienced trainer in Cambridge, UK, (or by arrangement on client site) for exercises and model-building workshops to acquire a working knowledge of the software with the best hands-on experience and knowledge transfer.

Do it yourself first

Our reference training course is presented in full on our online help site, and explores all the key concepts and functions of STEM in the context of an existing model. The associated model is pre-installed with STEM and it is quite feasible to work through the exercises on your own. Even though you won’t have the benefit of a trainer answering your immediate questions or challenging you on what you have learned, you will find that each exercise concludes with a series of prompts for Things that you should have seen and understood.

Coming soon

We plan to publish detailed instructions for some of the more compact exercises that feature in our online demonstrations here in due course too. These showcase models serve as much to illustrate what you can achieve as how to actually do it.

The first of these will be a blank screen exercise which illustrates the potential of the principal service, resource and location elements. The second will include multiple direct costs and a number of secondary overheads more representative of the typical shape of a real-life model. Both of these models already exist and can be booked as an alternative or in addition to the reference course for face-to-face training.

The written materials are currently in production and will be published online as soon as they are ready.
